I am a health coach, yoga teacher and craniosacral practitioner. I cannot remember a time that I was not fascinated by health and the human body. My bachelor’s degree is in Neuropsychology and I will be receiving my Doctorate in Eastern Medicine in December of 2020. Through my own healing from trauma, and a calling that has always been to further my knowledge of health and wellness, I have found my way to FourMoons.
Help our tribe and guests get to know you, who you are, how you came to this work and your key message about yourself.
ON MY BOOKSHELF: Just finished; ‘Why isn’t my brain working? A revolutionary understanding of brain decline and effective strategies to recover your brain’s health’ by Dr Datis Kharrazian. Now reading; ‘My Grandmas Hands; Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending our Hearts and Bodies’ by Resmaa Menakem.
HEALTH HABIT THAT CHANGED MY LIFE: Sitting in silence, drinking my teas alone before I get started with my day, eating foods that serve my constitution and a couple hours of movement daily,
ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: Lemons, avocados, berries, and oat milk
CAUSE THAT’S CLOSEST TO MY HEART: AcuWithoutBorders a foundation that is helping those who cannot afford alternative medicine options, free services and education so that people can reclaim their health.
MY CURRENT MANTRA: “Wherever you go there you are.”
How do you work?
With each of my clients, I draw on my training in Eastern medicine, nutrition, cranial sacral, yoga, applied kinesiology, functional blood chemistry, years of research, along with my intuitive healing abilities to find an individualized path to wellness. I use client interviews and intake forms, but my intuitive abilities take me deeper and tune me in to my client’s specific needs, symptoms, goals and fundamental constitution. The work I do integrates channeling what my client’s body and symptoms tell me with my years of training. I believe it is an individualized ‘embodied conversation’ that leads to the most successful treatments for my clients.
If you have tried or been confused by the many diets, exercise regiments, and supplements that the mainstream wellness culture has praised and popularized, but nothing has been your silver bullet, I am excited to work with you. Maybe you’ve been overwhelmed by the contradictory information or have tried many recommendations without success, I can guide you to what YOUR body specifically needs. No two humans are identical, so what works for your best friend may not be what works for you. I will walk you through a full revamp of your diet and lifestyle that will help your body experience that optimal state of health that you have been looking for. The initial appointment is the most in depth and extensive part of our work together where we will start making the changes that your body needs. After that, I suggest that we meet bi-weekly to make sure those changes are delivering results.
Our sessions together will last an hour, though the first session tends to be a bit longer to give us time to get to know each other. Before the first session, there are intake forms to fill out that I will study before we meet, and add to them during our session.
In this first session, I will do a full diagnostic evaluation and work up a plan designed for you. Your plan will include; diet, lifestyle changes, supplements and herbs. As your body changes throughout our time together, so do the herbs and supplements that you should be taking.
I suggest that our follow up appointments be bi-weekly, where we will measure how your program is working for you and evolve the supplements, herbs and diet to further your healing and health goals where it’s needed. To prepare for these appointments and to make dynamic progress, what I ask is simple; bring an open mind and your authentic self. Our time together is a safe and healing space where you are the center of the universe.
